I love art and beauty. I was amazed when I visited the Boise Museum of Art. It was there that I saw an exhibit of Alexander Calder's mobiles. This is where I got my inspiration for my lights. I wanted to create lights that could be seen in different positions and give the room a fresh appearance many times over. Not only the position of the chandelier, but also the reflections.
Semi-Mobile Chandeliers
The idea of creating lights that can re position is what inspired me to start making lights. The idea of a light that could look different many times over and make the room have many different appearances got me so excited that it was about all I could think about for weeks. During this time I researched lamp parts and how they went together. I learned where to obtain parts and how much it would cost to create my ideas.
• Semi-mobile – Wire was not as flexible as the idea that I had in mind. The lights do not move as freely as I would have preferred, but they could be repositioned by manually turning them or by twisting the wires in the end of the tubing.
• Three basic designs - Bird of Paradise, Orchid and Sunburst. I can make customized variations and adaptations of these.There is no greater satisfaction than what comes from creating beautiful things with my hands. I love my regular job as a line cook, but when I come home I spend most of my free time making lights.

Making pendant lights from drinking glasses?
When I discovered how long it took to make a Semi – mobile chandelier, I knew I needed to diversify if I was going to make any money at this. I love beautiful colored glass and shopping at thrift stores. When I found some great colored drinking glasses I knew that they would make beautiful and unique pendant lights. I want to only make things that are in some way unique and interesting, not what a lot of other people were doing.
